https://cdn.fbsbx.com/.../Gogyoshi-translation-into...
Svaki pesnik hvata iskustvo u živopisne, nezaboravne slike: voćnjaci obasjani mesečinom, hleb iz detinjstva, prolećna rosa, molitve u zoru, iščupana stabla maslina, tiha jezera, napukla ogledala i gradovi omekšani kišom.
Great! Congratulations!
This is the English translation of the first ex-Yugoslavian Gogyoshi Anthology.
This is my foreword to it.
Foreword
by Taro Aizu(Japan), founder of World Gogyoshi
.
This anthology brings the gogyoshi of the ex‑Yugoslavian region into English for the first time, offering five‑line poems that capture entire worlds with striking clarity. Each poet captures experience into vivid, memorable images: moonlit orchards, childhood bread, spring dew, dawn prayers, uprooted olive trees, quiet lakes, cracked mirrors, and rain‑softened cities.
Across these pages, nature, memory, faith, and silence mix together deeply. Some poems offer gentleness; others confront loss or the weight of history. Yet all share a disciplined simplicity that gives the form its power. These voices carry a deep sense of place, revealing how landscapes shape identity and emotion.
This collection serves as a bridge between languages and cultures, inviting readers to pause and listen. In these brief poems, moments of beauty and truth linger long after the final line.
My congratulations to all the poets of the ex‑Yugoslavian region for creating this first anthology of gogyoshi!

YOU ARE ASLEEP
The moon wanders above the fields.
Mighty winds are dancing.
Watchers conceal their footsteps.
The righteous keep their silence.
And you sleep in perfect peace.
